The Rat Line is an independent San Jose State alumni magazine, first published after the 1987 Stanford game by “early sixties friends” of three independent houses on or near South 11th Street—”Greek row”.
They were: The Rats Nest, Lions Den and Surfrider.

Mike MacIntyre’s 5-7 Spartans could have easily been bowl eligible at 8-4. San Jose State
lost by just one point at Utah State and by
only three against Nevada and Idaho.
2012 will be Coach Mac’s third season at Sparta.
The Rat Line is looking at the Colorado State game the third Saturday in September as the possible date for our next big Reunion XIV.
Former head coach Dave Baldwin was stolen
from Utah State to be the new OC at CSU
by new coach, Jim McElwain, former DC at ‘Bama.
The October schedule, including the BYU game date at Spartan Stadium isn’t yet firm.
